National Inclusion Week is Monday 27th September to Sunday 3rd October 2021.

Friday 1st October is also National Day of the Older Person.

We’d like you to join with us in celebrating Cornwall’s increasingly inclusive workplaces and approaches to work, using your social media channels (and ours).

By shouting on social media about what you’ve done as an organisation this last year towards diversity, while adding our own Cornwall hashtag #CornwallUnitedForInclusion as well as the National Inclusion Week 2021 hashtags #UnitedForInclusion and #NationalInclusionWeek2021, and tagging The Inclusivity Project (we’re on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram), we can all amplify what each other is doing, and show how forward-thinking our region is becoming.

What is National Inclusion Week?

National Inclusion Week is organised by a company based in Leeds called Inclusive Employers. You should sign up to be part of the whole national campaign on their web site.

That way, when you use the national campaign hashtags, other organisations around the country may also see what you’re doing.

Just don’t forget to use the local one #CornwallUnitedForInclusion and tag us too!

Monday

Image reads: What is one thing you have done this year to help your employees keep working?

Tuesday

Text reads: ‘What is something different about you, and how does it affect how you work?’

Wednesday

Image reads: ‘What’s diverse about your team?’

Thursday

Image reads: ‘What challenges do you expect, post Covid?’

Friday

Image reads: ‘There are so many ways in which we can work.’

What kinds of content could you share on social media during National Inclusion Week?

At The Inclusivity Project, we’ll be sharing this set of posts (above). You can respond to these, with:

  • Profiles or photos of your diverse team and partner organisations, saying why they care about inclusive workplaces.
  • Images people in your team take of their own adapted workplaces.
  • Mentions of businesses you have worked with, who have found new ideas and come up with new services that promote workplace inclusion.
  • Graphics (like the ones above) asking audience engagement questions, that kickstart a conversation around inclusion in the world of work for Cornwall.
  • Shout outs to other organisations in the region, celebrating the work they are doing.
  • Facebook ‘live’ videos talking about the week and different aspects of inclusion.

We are sure you’ll come up with smart ways to promote what you do too, that suit the social media channels you enjoy using the most.
